Rosemont College Email – Microsoft Office 365

We are pleased to announce the release of Microsoft Office 365 to the Rosemont community. The cloud-based version of the Microsoft Office Suite includes Exchange (email), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft applications.

Rosemont College students and employees can access the web versions of the Suite applications; they may also download full-function versions of the applications on up to 5 devices such as home desktop, tablets, and smart phones.

Office 365 is a communication and collaboration service hosted by Microsoft. These services and data will be hosted in data-centers owned and managed by Microsoft. It gives users rich and familiar access to Office Online and Exchange Online, which allows students, faculty and staff to have access to their email, calendars, address lists, task management tools, etc. regardless of where they might be working - be it from home or on the road. By utilizing these services, the College is able to take advantage of all the benefits Office 365 has to offer.

The Rosemont College I.T. department conducted an extensive evaluation process based upon our specific needs. Office 365 was the closest match for our requirements and offered the best security and privacy features (FERPA, HIPAA, no data mining, no advertising, U.S. hosted data only, etc.)
