Description

This is an introduction to Job Growth and Development as influenced by Technology
Transfer in the Global Economy. The course will examine the cultural, economic and political factors affecting the global strategies of multinational corporations. While the course is presented from an American perspective, it develops principles and concepts applicable to international operations of globally dispersed firms in general. Understanding the cross-cultural evolution of technology and the competitive importance of trade and comparative national advantage is vital to the survival and success of any enterprise on the international stage. During the course, students will examine and apply some of the key concepts and processes that underlie the various strategies and tactics used in the transfer of jobs and technology around the world.
